Rod used to call himself Rodelda and to this day no one knows why. He has a wide variety of interests and hobbies including history (particularly the civil war), camping, Glee (this is strictly confidential:), astronomy, animals, Frank Sinatra, fishing, and playing video games. He is an avid reader of all genres but particularly enjoys fantasy, science fiction, and historical novels.

On January 28, 2012, while driving a moving truck, Rod's vehicle left the road and fell roughly 100 feet onto the train tracks below. It is a miracle that he survived and we find many more miracles as he continues on his quest toward recovery. He has already undergone multiple surgeries to repair breaks and injuries and will have many more in the weeks to come. Thank you for all of your thoughts and prayers in Rod, Sara, and Jack's behalf. We truly appreciate them and you!

Jack and Daddy!

This is a picture of Jack's face when he got to chat on video with his daddy. What a precious little smile. Both Rod and Jack were very excited to see each other.

Rod's jaw surgery was delayed until this evening and he is currently in the operating room. I will update everyone when he is out but it may be late tonight.

  1. What a cute baby boy! Thank goodness for technology so that Rod and Jackson can see each other. Hopefully Rod will be able to hold and kiss him soon.
