Rod used to call himself Rodelda and to this day no one knows why. He has a wide variety of interests and hobbies including history (particularly the civil war), camping, Glee (this is strictly confidential:), astronomy, animals, Frank Sinatra, fishing, and playing video games. He is an avid reader of all genres but particularly enjoys fantasy, science fiction, and historical novels.

On January 28, 2012, while driving a moving truck, Rod's vehicle left the road and fell roughly 100 feet onto the train tracks below. It is a miracle that he survived and we find many more miracles as he continues on his quest toward recovery. He has already undergone multiple surgeries to repair breaks and injuries and will have many more in the weeks to come. Thank you for all of your thoughts and prayers in Rod, Sara, and Jack's behalf. We truly appreciate them and you!

Close to Home

Rod made a big move today. He has finally transferred to Orchard Cove Rehab center in Bountiful. He has a nice private room and is much closer to the family now. He'll be having one hour of therapy a day to start with and can use their exercise equipment whenever he wants. It took the entire day to get him moved and settled but he was able to get into a wheelchair to explore. Doctors are also saying that his respiratory infection may be clearing faster than they originally thought so we're hopeful that Rod and Jack can have a nice long visit soon.
