Rod used to call himself Rodelda and to this day no one knows why. He has a wide variety of interests and hobbies including history (particularly the civil war), camping, Glee (this is strictly confidential:), astronomy, animals, Frank Sinatra, fishing, and playing video games. He is an avid reader of all genres but particularly enjoys fantasy, science fiction, and historical novels.

On January 28, 2012, while driving a moving truck, Rod's vehicle left the road and fell roughly 100 feet onto the train tracks below. It is a miracle that he survived and we find many more miracles as he continues on his quest toward recovery. He has already undergone multiple surgeries to repair breaks and injuries and will have many more in the weeks to come. Thank you for all of your thoughts and prayers in Rod, Sara, and Jack's behalf. We truly appreciate them and you!

Ready for Tomorrow

Rod spent today visiting with his uncle John and the night getting ready for his surgery tomorrow. The family was able to meet and give him a priesthood blessing. He will be transferred from LDS and the surgery will start at 2:00 pm. They will be taking some bone from his hip to graft into his ankle. Hopefully this procedure, while limiting his range of motion, will allow him to keep his leg and walk again.
