Rod used to call himself Rodelda and to this day no one knows why. He has a wide variety of interests and hobbies including history (particularly the civil war), camping, Glee (this is strictly confidential:), astronomy, animals, Frank Sinatra, fishing, and playing video games. He is an avid reader of all genres but particularly enjoys fantasy, science fiction, and historical novels.

On January 28, 2012, while driving a moving truck, Rod's vehicle left the road and fell roughly 100 feet onto the train tracks below. It is a miracle that he survived and we find many more miracles as he continues on his quest toward recovery. He has already undergone multiple surgeries to repair breaks and injuries and will have many more in the weeks to come. Thank you for all of your thoughts and prayers in Rod, Sara, and Jack's behalf. We truly appreciate them and you!

Lots of Therapy

Rod had another quiet day in his room, visiting with family and doing physical therapy. He works really hard and even asks the therapists to return for more exercises. Scott, Holly and Lincoln were able to visit today. Lincoln was really excited to see "funny guy."

There is another surgery scheduled for either Friday or Saturday. They are going to work on his left foot, clean the right leg, and possible work on his right arm if there is time. X-rays show that the forearm is broken but the extent of his injuries to his arm aren't clear yet. However, he has recently been able to move the fingers on his right hand.
